All filigree steps or brackets, balusters and landing
components are made of machineable quality cast iron and
primed with one coat of grey or red oxide. Alloy available to
special order.
The central columns are made of heavy gauge seamless
mild steel tubing, of a size appropriate to the diameter of the
staircase with bottom end plated and drilled for holding down
bolts; primed with one coat of grey or red oxide.
The handrail is rolled from 40mm x 10mm convex mild
steel (two lengths per flight), all primed with one coat of red
oxide.
All made of machineable quality cast iron in various
designs
and heights to comply with current Building Regulations.
Each threaded at the top and provided with fixing screw for
handrail; primed with one coat of grey or red oxide.

If a Customer's floor to floor height does not conform
to multiples
of the standard 220mm steps, each step can be machined down
precisely to the individual site requirement.
This method ensures the staircase has more stability, as
opposed
to using spacers between the steps and the precision fitting of the
handrail.
IN ADDITION the 7'0"
(2135mm) diameter
staircases are now manufactured in riser heights of 7 1/2''
(190mm)
to satisfy the Building Regulations for Shops and Offices.
ALSO AVAILABLE: Filigree and carpet insert straight
steps to
match 1.340M - 2.135M diameters.
FILIGREE DECKING PLATES to match staircase tread pattern
standard 1 metre square, but can be manufactured to any size
or shape.
BRACKET TYPE STAIRCASE to take wooden treads 3'0"
(915mm) to 7' 0" (2135mm) diameters.
